Covid-19

The worldwide current situation is a difficult pandemic health crisis. As the lockdown eases and with no effective treatment yet, we are all figuring out how the new normal is going to be in the meantime.

Self-isolation, quarantine, lockdown, shielding, covid-safe, working from home, furlough, antibodies or face masks are only some of the many terms that are now part of our life.

The way we interact and relate to each other is currently different due to physical distancing (I believe this term is more accurate than social distancing), thus having consequences in our relationships with others, with ourselves and with our sex lives.

Together with sexual and relationship problems, social and job instability and overall uncertainty can also bring or exacerbate issues related to loneliness, anxiety, sexual compulsivity, grief and loss, intrusive thoughts, self-care, lack of privacy and trauma among other issues.
